In the book Frogkisser by Garth Nix the main character, Anya a princess is on a quest to stop
her evil sorcerer stepstepfather from taking over the kingdom and maybe the world. She is teamed
up with a loyal talking dog, a boy thief trapped in a newt’s body and some wizards. She also has the
ability to break curses with a magic-assisted-kiss. Her quest starts when she has to find her sister’s
prince who was cursed by Anya’s stepstepfather. Anya gets the quest from the leader of all the
royal talking dogs. The leader says that she has to go on the quest because Anya’s evil
stepstepfather is growing more powerful. This quest that if played right will free her kingdom
from her stepstepfather's power.
