In the book When you Reach Me by Rebecca Stead it shows the life of the main character
Miranda and when she starts to receive mysterious notes. They tell her she has to tell a true
story and she can’t mention this to anyone, not even her friends or Mom. She would ignore
the messages but the person leaving them has an uncanny ability to predict the future. If that
is so then she has a even bigger problem. The notes say that someone is going probably going
to die, and she might be too late to stop it. When the notes start appearing she loses her best
friend Sal. Miranda also becomes friends with Annemarie and worst enemies with Julia. The
notes all relate to something in her life. That is why the person who is writing the notes can
predict the future. Some of the notes she doesn't understand, so it is hard to plan for what
will happen.
