In the story Out Of My MInd by Sharon M. Draper it describes the life of Ten year old Melody who
has disabilities that makes it hard to have a normal life. Melody’s disability makes her not able to
speak or move around. One of the things she most wants is to be a normal girl especially since
she got a sister named Penny. Melody thinks she has one friend, Rose. Now when she went to
the aquarium with Rose she found out that Rose is not what she sees her as. This happened
because Rose saw two girls from there school and the girls were asking who Rose was at the aquarium
with. These makes me feel that Rose doesn't like Melody because she is different. Is Rose Melody's
friend?
